What does the future of media look like? Just ask the seven new interns shaping it at Pathlabs this summer.
Our new interns, Addie Molisee, Alan Campbell, Kaden Hanson, Keaton Warner, Jack Adamson, Jasmine Oyler, and Trey Schreder, are already making an impact through their dedication to mastering their craft and providing unforgettable service.
This year’s class also represents the growing success and evolution of YourPath and our partnership with the University of Montana College of Business, which is helping build the future of advertising and media execution right here in Missoula.
What Makes YourPath More than a Line on a Resume
YourPath is not just a summer internship. It’s a hands-on career accelerator that includes a University of Montana classroom course, paid internship at Pathlabs, and the potential for long-term employment. No matter where they are in the program, YourPath gives students and recent graduates a real-world opportunity to explore careers in digital media, marketing, and technology to help participants accomplish two goals:
Acquire job-ready skills such as media execution, campaign optimization, client communication, and technical fluency, enabling them to make an impact from day one of their next opportunity.
Bridge the classroom and the workplace through a clear path into the industry.
The classroom portion of YourPath is taught by working professionals from Pathlabs alongside UM professors so that students aren’t just learning theory. They’re getting direct exposure to the tools, workflows, and expectations of the business world.
YourPath also emphasizes the skills that can’t be taught through presentations and tests, such as communication, collaboration, and adaptability.
In a hybrid workplace like ours, it’s not just about what you can do. How well you can communicate across teams and commit is as important as understanding platforms and processes. That’s why part of the internship experience includes focused coaching on collaboration, project workflows, and confidently navigating professional environments.
“Education lays the foundation, but true skills are built in the field. By offering guidance and exposure, YourPath has accelerated my career growth and boosted me and my peers.””
Why We Invest in Local Talent
Our headquarters in Missoula enables us to work with exceptional local talent and offer our community high-quality career opportunities.
That’s why our connection with the University of Montana is so essential. It allows us to be part of a larger ecosystem where academia and industry collaborate to create something valuable for students, professionals, and businesses.
U of M’s commitment to experiential education and real-world preparation is evident in everything from their curriculum to their faculty. In fact, Dr. Sara Plant, a key figure in the YourPath program, was honored with the John Ruffatto Memorial Award, which recognizes professors who bring industry insight into the classroom.
Growing YourPath and Our Team
This year’s class of interns is especially exciting because it represents a new growth stage for the YourPath program. While previous years focused primarily on roles within our Media Services department, this year we’ve expanded to include internships in Marketing and our Solutions Consultant team.
This expansion reflects not only Pathlabs’ growth as a company but also our deep confidence in the talent from the University of Montana.
“High-caliber students are coming out of the UM classroom. They arrive at Pathlabs academically prepared and eager to make an impact. ”
